Join us at The Commonwealth Club for a celebration of the Hewlett 50 Arts Commissions, featuring a performance by legendary blues and jazz singer Miss Faye Carol, and a festive reception with many Hewlett 50 Arts Commissions awardees. 

To mark its 50th anniversary, the Hewlett Foundation launched the Hewlett 50 Arts Commissions to support the creation of 50 new works of performing art that celebrate the dynamism of the San Francisco Bay Area. To realize the wide-ranging new works, artists and organizations faced unprecedented challenges, through which their inventiveness and resilience, and importance of creativity, shone brightly. Join us for a conversation with three visionary women about the future of the arts: Chloe Veltman, NPR Culture Desk correspondent; Liz Lerman, artist, choreographer, educator, and 50 Arts Commissions awardee; and Zannie Voss, professor and director of DataArts at Southern Methodist University.
