Collaborative Strategies in Fighting Human Trafficking and Supporting the Survivors

An estimated 27 million people worldwide are trapped in human trafficking, the fastest growing global criminal industry worth $150 billion in annual profits. Human trafficking is a heinous crime that targets the most vulnerable in our community and brutally strips them from their dignity and freedom. The San Francisco Collaborative Against Human Trafficking (SFCAHT) is a cross sector coalition with membership of more than 70 Bay Area agencies from the law enforcement, government and nonprofit sectors working together to end human trafficking through education, advocacy, prevention, and protection of the survivors. SFCAHT supports the operation of the 24/7 Bay Area Human Trafficking Hotline, which confidentially and safely connects survivors of human trafficking and their support networks with resources and protections.
