The Art of Travel: How to Turn any Journey into Meaning and Memory
More people are traveling than in any time in human history. We are also venturing further and are safer than ever, and these journeys are being documented in books, films, and social media in a way never seen before. But does that mean that modern travelers are any happier than those who came before us? Are our adventures as memorable and meaningful than when the road was rougher and harder to traverse?
Phil Cousineau has been traveling professionally as a tour guide, adventure leader, filmmaker and travel writer for almost fifty years, and was host and cowriter of PBS' "Global Spirit," which Bill Moyers described as a valuable "inner travel series." Join us for a freewheeling evening in which Cousineau shares a lifetime of exhilarating images from his own photography, enthusiastic anecdotes, and insights into the dynamic, but ever-changing travel business. The evening is designed to provide you with a backpack full of travel hints to help you find the secret door into every destination, while gleaning the most meaning possible from your journey.
