Phil Cousineau is a freelance writer, filmmaker, TV host and travel guide. He has published more than 40 books, including The Art of Pilgrimage, The Hero's Journey: The Life and Work of Joseph Campbell, and The Book of Roads, has written over 25 documentary films, and been a travel consultant for CNN International, BBC, CBC, and PBS. He has served on the faculty of the Book Passage Travel Writers Conference for many years.
