Gung Hay Fat Choy! Join Commonwealth Club members and guests to celebrate this year’s Chinese/Lunar New Year, the Year of the Earth Snake.
Special guest: Syndi Seid, founder of AdvancedEtiquette.com, to learn your Chinese animal horoscope and your compatibility to others, Chinese table manners and customs, and proper handling of chopsticks. Forks will be discouraged unless necessary.
Parking: On-street parking is limited. St. Mary’s Square garage is the closest parking structure. Muni and cable car are also available within one block of the restaurant.
A special 8-course family-style dinner has been ordered, with limited adjustments possible to accommodate vegetarians/vegans, by prior request only. Menu includes BBQ meat platter, honey walnut prawns, stir-fried dual meat strips, dried scallop seafood soup, crispy fried chicken, black mushrooms over mustard greens, Peking duck with buns, steamed whole fish, steamed rice, and tea.
No-host bar.
Seating is limited; advance reservations required.
