Reading Californians Book Discussion: Red Arrow
Join us via Zoom to enoy a talk with California Book Awards' silver medalist for first fiction William Brewer. His novel Red Arrow is an existential time travel tale about a painter turned novelist whose first book is a hit but who gets writers' block when it comes to his second attempt at writing. The story takes us from the trauma he faces in an ecological disaster in his youth in West Virginia to his visit to a physicist in Italy whose memoir he is ghostwriting. To top it all off, he suffers from depression! You have to stay alert in this book, as it has been described as "time-bending"—but you might also find it a little mind-bending!
