San Francisco Community Health Center Appreciation Holiday Reception
The San Francisco Community Health Center, now on its 35th year of serving the San Francisco Area, celebrates this joyous holiday with a special reception and all-staff of SFCHC event, and will be honoring their grassroots Community Ambassadors Program members on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at 5:30 at Commonwealth Club World Affairs in San Francisco. Helping honor these special community warriors is award-winning talk show host and Bay Area local personality Michelle Meow of "The Michelle Meow Show."
These amazing individuals have contributed to the COVID-19 epidemic during the height of it and volunteered and participated in the street medicine project that the agency spearheaded during the COVID pandemic. They were able to access the hard-to-reach and the unhoused communities of the Tenderloin, provide basic needs and at the same time provide medical support while no one could have access to any hospitals and clinics. They bravely walked the streets of the Tenderloin, provided information for resources, distributed clean and safe harm-reduction paraphernalia, and offered medical clinic on site.
On this special night, the leadership team of SFCHC honors these folks who have lived experiences and used it to reach people who needed support and assistance. We honor the Community Ambassadors of San Francisco Community Health Center.
This program is presented by SFCHC and Commonwealth Club World Affairs of California.
