Sports: The State of Play—Equity and Inclusion on and off the Field
Women’s History Month at The Commonwealth Club kicks off early, with an exciting and multifaceted event on February 25. Guests are invited to spend their Friday afternoon in the company of local sports icons, fellow advocates, and trailblazers.
At 3 p.m.: Sports: The State of Play—Equity and Inclusion on and off the Field.
What is the state of sports in terms of equity and diversity? What are the most relevant accomplishments, challenges and urgent matters to tackle to make sports equal and accessible? Host and LGBTQ leader Michelle Meow will lead a special discussion featuring prominent local sports leaders. Co-presented with Michelle Meow Show.
At 4 p.m., the festivities continue with a social hour and a wine tasting with women-led wineries from Napa and Sonoma Valleys.
And at 5 p.m., an exclusive screening of the award-winning documentary LFG, which captures the U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team’s public fight for equal pay. Presented in partnership with Women’s March San Francisco. The film screening is free, but advance registration is required.
Your ticket to the 3 p.m. panel discussion is all-inclusive and grants access to the wine tasting and screening. However, you may register for each event individually based on your schedule.
