Fall Member Party
Harvest: Bringing the Best of Napa to San Francisco
Celebrate the fall season at The Commonwealth Club!
The Commonwealth Club is partnering with San Francisco magazine and the Napa Valley Film Festival for our upcoming fall member party. “Harvest: Bringing the Best of Napa to San Francisco” will feature the finest in wine, film and food from the Napa Valley. Each floor of our spacious home will be dedicated to new and exciting experiences. Listen to a spirited discussion on the battle between cork and screw cap wines. Hear about which independent films to see this season. The program will be moderated by Pati Poblete, editor in chief of San Francisco magazine; our panelists include Jean-Noel Fourmeaux, owner of VGS Chateau Potelle Winery; Sean Widger, head sommelier at Alexander's Steakhouse; Danielle Cyrot, winemaker at Cade Winery; and John Conover, managing partner at Cade Winery.
In a second program, learn about what independent films you need to see this season. There will be screenings of the short films Angela Wilson: A Butcher's Story and A Perfect Note, featuring a Q&A local filmmakers Gaby Scott and Phoebe Rubin. Wine samples will be poured by some of the area’s most celebrated wineries. Seasonal bites will be served by one of the Bay Area’s top caterers. Enjoy the city’s weather from our rooftop terrace, where you can taste ice cream and try out other fun activities. Cash bars, serving Fort Point Beer and nonalcoholic beverages, will also be available.
