Immigrants, Trump and Northern California
Immigration policy has been mired in uncertainty during the current administration. While there have been numerous threats to sharply curtail immigration and deport certain classes of immigrants, Congress has taken no conclusive action, including reaching a deal on the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. This has left millions of individuals, including thousands in California, in legal limbo.
Please join us to learn more. Duncan Lawrence from the Immigration Lab at Stanford will be in conversation with Bill Ong Hing, the founder of the Immigrant Legal Resource Center, and Laura Aguilar, a DACA immigrant who will be sharing her own personal story of coming to the United States.
