The Millennials and Generation Y are perhaps the most eco-savvy generations in U.S. history. Born between 1978 and 2000, 95 million youth are inheriting an ecosystem on the brink. The climate crisis is a key issue for them and has birthed a new branch of environmentalism – diverse in its leadership, global in scope, and youth-driven. The recipients of the Brower Youth Award, North America’s top prize for bold young environmental leaders, share this movement’s origins, its victories and opportunities.
